Will your ebook run on my PC ? What capabilites do I need ?
Our ebooks are designed to run on most PC's, and have been tested on a variety of systems, however, as with most software, it is impossible to guarantee that it will operate on all machines, especially since our publications contain multimedia capabilities.
Older, slower machines may have marginal performance.
Generally speaking, your computer should have the following System Requirements/ capabilities (which are fairly standard features on most systems):
Software: Windows XP, NT4 (with latest service packs), Direct X Version 8, or better, and Windows Media Player Version 6, or better. Direct X, and Windows Media Player updates are available from Microsoft, at microsoft.com. As of this writing, these programs are free to download and install. (Microsoft, and microsoft.com are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation.)
Hardware: A Pentium II 450MHZ processor, or equivalent, color monitor and graphics card capable of 256 colors at 800 X 600, 128 MB Ram (256 is desirable), a sound card and speakers, mouse, and a CD ROM drive.
Our ebooks are delivered on CD ROM, and can be run directly from the CD, or it can be installed and run from the hard drive. Because of the inherent slowness of CD ROM drives, performance may be affected when run from the CD.
The required hard drive capacity varies, but, generally it is less than 500 MB, depending on the size of the publication. When run directly from the CD, the required hard drive capacity is minimal.

We highly recommend that you first download our sample ebook; generally speaking, if the sample program runs, then our ebooks will operate properly. Also, please refer to our Refund Policy.

When I first start my ebook, the screen momentarily goes blank?
Most of our ebooks will run at full screen when the screen resolution is set to 1024 X 768; the windows are actually sized at 800 X 600 to maximize the ease of reading, and viewing; the text is larger. A few of our ebooks automatically change the screen resolution to 800 X 600 pixels. If your screen resolution is already set to a higher resolution, the screen will momentarily go blank when the resolution is changed. This is normal when screen resolutions are changed. The screen will return to your normally set resolution when you exit the program. Go to Top of Page
